My husband and I spent a week here May22nd-May 29th 2023 It was the most amazing vacation Everyone of the staff went above and beyond. The lodges were perfect, ,the food was excellent We went on two safaris one in the morning and one in the evening. Our guide Nakita was also amazing She was very knowledgeable about all the wildlife from all the big game to the birds and plant life. If I could give this review 10 stars I would. I recommend Lalibela to anyone who would like to do a safari vacation you will not be dissapointed

Lalibela is endowed with enormous expanses of Savannah Grassland, the ecosystem with by far the highest carrying capacity—this means that they can sustain truly vast herds of plains game like zebra, impala, wildebeest, red hartebeest, blesbuck, and eland, which are unique to this area of South Africa. As a result, Lalibela can maintain a high population of free-roaming lions. The Game Reserve can support a large population of African species, big game sightings are common, and other animals include zebra, giraffe, hippo, cheetah, and hyena.

Lalibela has a climate that is a mix of Mediterranean and sub-tropical. The reserve is in the Southern Hemisphere, and the dry season lasts from September to March. The milder to cooler seasons last until August, however, the winter months have nice mid-day temperatures of 22°C.

Lalibela Game Reserve is ideal for a family safari vacation. Guests can enjoy exciting Big Five safaris and take their children on a special children's safari with a professional ranger. There are twice-daily game drives with trained rangers on a Big Five safari in Lalibela Game Reserve, as well as night safaris to monitor rarely seen species.
